“Every Child Matters”
Huddersfield Community Nursery (Al-Nasiha) is a childcare service for 0-5 year olds which provides a service for the needs of the Huddersfield Community. Our philosophy is to promote an environment of high quality childcare in close partnership with parents. We believe that it is paramount that a child has a happy and healthy development in a caring and warm environment in which they feel comfortable to express themselves – thus building self-confidence and developing their own individuality.
Our attention is focused on small groups of children which we believe helps us to provide better quality learning for each individual child. Our number one priority is the health and safety of every child as they are our responsibility when they are in our care at Huddersfield Community Nursery (Al-Nasiha). “It’s not quantity but its quality that matters to us.”
We are based close to town centre within an existing community building surrounded by a natural environment which gives an open space and easy access for parking. The Nursery is a registered charity which consists of a number of members. We encourage the involvement of parents through parent groups who meet on a regular basis to discuss nursery policy, arrange fund raising activities and social events. All parents are invited to be part of this group.
We are Ofsted registered and Work in partnership with Kirklees Early Years and other organisations. We have a qualified teacher at the setting and other specialists that visit the nursery regularly to give guidence and advice on any reformed policies or legislations. We also have a member of staff who is studying at a Masters Level to lead the change to Day care services, ahead of other providers as well as support the practitioners on quality and effective practice.
